Joyce Hunter Named to The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women in Maryland 2021

 

AEGIS Advisory Board member, Joyce Hunter, has been named to The Daily Record’s 2021 cohort of Top 100 Women in Maryland. The award recognizes exceptional women who are making a difference through leadership, community service, and mentorship.

Ms. Hunter is renowned for her work and leadership in the federal health IT space, including serving as the former Deputy CIO of Policy and Planning of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She is currently CEO of Vulcan Enterprises LLC and Executive Director of the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT), a cybersecurity think tank.

Outside of the office, Ms. Hunter is a philanthropist and mentor. Since June 2014, she has served as President of Data Science Camp, Inc., an organization that creates and delivers immersive learning summer camps for high school students, free of charge. During the camp, students gain exposure and experience working in teams to develop and fine-tune skills in design thinking, analytical problem-solving, and leadership in the contexts of science, technology, engineering, agriculture, energy, athletics, architecture, and math.
